Patricia-Ann-Young-BOOK Patricia Ann Young was born on March 16, 1951 to Willie Young and Hilda Young in Port Arthur, Texas. Patricia graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1969. She continued her education to Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas studying Business Administration. During her high school years, she worked part time at Buckner’s in Beaumont, Texas. She also worked many years at St. Mary’s Hospital in the pharmacy in Port Arthur, Texas. Her last employer was E.I. DuPont Refinery in Orange, Texas where she worked as a process operator until she retired in 2007. Patricia accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and continued in faith until her last breath.  She was a member of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. She also attended Antioch Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas and occasionally at Grace Church of Humble in Humble, Texas.  Patricia was residing in Houston, Texas with her daughter and grandchildren at the time of her death. Patricia was a very independent woman who worked hard during her career as a single mother. Patricia had a unique personality and believed in speaking her mind. Patricia’s favorite color was burgundy and gold. She loved to shop, shop some more, and do more shopping. Her favorite restaurant was Golden Corral the Beaumont location. Bertis Lee Chatman 1948-2017 Bertis Chatman the son of A.D. and Ida Chatman was born May 28, 1948 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Bertis went home to be with the lord on Wednesday June21, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents A.D. and Ida Chatman; sisters: Irene Ward, Marine Dailey, and Jeweline Washington; brothers: Aaron D. RODNEY ROBERTS 1979-2017 Rodney “Doughboy” Roberts “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens: A time to be born, and a time to die…” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 The gentle winds of new life blew gracefully on November 04, 1979 in the 5th Ward Community of Houston, Texas. The favor of God was upon Theodore Roberts Jr. and Connie Anniece Roberts for being committed to their care was a son that they named, Rodney Lamorris Roberts. After reaching school age, Rodney attended Atherton Elementary, McReynolds Middle School and Phillis Wheatley High School. At a young age, Rodney accepted Christ and became a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist church under the leadership of the late Reverend Ace Doyal McCraw. In his adulthood he joined St. Luke Baptist Church”The Luke” under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Timothy Sloan. Rodney was a true man of God that loved to attend church. Rodney’s life and the way that he lived his life provided a template worthy of imitation by both young and old.
