Patricia Ann Young was born on March 16, 1951 to Willie Young and Hilda Young in Port Arthur, Texas. Patricia graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1969. She continued her education to Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas studying Business Administration. During her high school years, she worked part time at Buckner’s in Beaumont, Texas. She also worked many years at St. Mary’s Hospital in the pharmacy in Port Arthur, Texas. Her last employer was E.I. DuPont Refinery in Orange, Texas where she worked as a process operator until she retired in 2007.
Patricia accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and continued in faith until her last breath. She was a member of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. She also attended Antioch Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas and occasionally at Grace Church of Humble in Humble, Texas. Patricia was residing in Houston, Texas with her daughter and grandchildren at the time of her death.
Patricia was a very independent woman who worked hard during her career as a single mother. Patricia had a unique personality and believed in speaking her mind. Patricia’s favorite color was burgundy and gold. She loved to shop, shop some more, and do more shopping. Her favorite restaurant was Golden Corral the Beaumont location.
Patricia was a firm believer in reading her Bible, attending church, paying tithes, and sowing seeds. She based her life around her daughter and especially her grandkids. Everything she did was for the benefit of her grandkids.
Patricia was preceded in death by her brother Robert Anthony Young, her grandson Brandon Young, her father Willie Young, and her mother Hilda Young. She leaves to cherish her memories her only child, Kristy Renee Young, her son in law Zachary Coleman Sr, her granddaughters Kne’Avia and Zione Young, her grandsons Chaizon Young and Zachary Jr. Coleman, her only sister Paula Kimble(Dover), her two brothers, James Young(Ruby), and Michael Young and a host of family and friends.
